Terms and conditions
Last updated: April 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of i-Digest (the "Service"), operated by the individual behind i-Digest ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
i-Digest aggregates content from publicly available sources — such as YouTube channels, podcasts, and blogs — and uses AI to generate personalized daily digests and summaries for subscribers. Features, content sources, and pricing may change over time as the Service evolves.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract under the laws of your country, to use the Service. By using i-Digest you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
4. Accounts
You can create an account using email and password, a magic link, or supported social logins (such as Google or GitHub). You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials confidential, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. You should enable two-factor authentication if available.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or create risk or legal exposure for us or other users.
5. Subscription Plans and Payments
The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Current plans, prices, billing cycles, and any trial periods are shown at checkout and may change from time to time.
Payments are processed by Creem. When you pay, you provide your payment details directly to Creem, which handles that data under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not store full payment card details.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled in accordance with the policies of the applicable payment processor and the law of your jurisdiction. If you believe you have been billed in error, please contact us.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as permitted by law.
- Abuse, overload, or disrupt the Service, including by excessive automated requests or by circumventing rate limits or access controls.
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from the Service in a way that infringes the rights of original creators or of i-Digest.
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications, to distribute malware, or to engage in phishing or fraud.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.
7. User Content and Feedback
You may submit content through the Service, such as AI chat messages and feedback. You retain ownership of your content. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display that content as needed to operate and improve the Service. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without restriction or compensation.
8. Third-Party Content
The Service surfaces summaries of content from third-party sources. All original content remains the property of its respective owners, and we do not claim ownership of it. Summaries and aggregated views are provided for informational convenience only; we make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or legality of third-party content.
9. AI Output Disclaimer
AI-generated summaries and chat responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or biased. Always verify important information against the original source. AI output is provided "as is" and should not be relied upon for decisions where accuracy is critical, including legal, medical, or financial decisions.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service itself — including its code, design, branding, and original content produced by us — is owned by i-Digest and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.
11. API Keys
If you are issued or generate an API key, you are responsible for all activity performed under that key. Keep it secret, rotate it if it may have been exposed, and notify us of any unauthorized use.
12. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors outside our control. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will meet your requirements.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, i-Digest and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless i-Digest and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
16. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice by email or through a notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.
18. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms will be governed by the laws applicable to the place of residence of the operator of i-Digest, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise. Before pursuing any formal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at hello@i-digest.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
